About Us

We launched Make Social to help other women succeed in making their businesses thrive. We want to be an example of how it’s possible to run a successful business and be present for your family, whilst enabling you to achieve the same thing.
Success doesn’t have to involve a power suit and regular hours chained to a desk anymore. You get to define what it means to you in your own unique situation – you don’t have to work a 60-hour week to be worthy of being taken seriously in business.

We want to equip you with all of the knowledge and tools you need to increase your brand’s visibility and smash your own definition of success, whatever it looks like.

Carly Davidson.

Hello, I’m Carly. I live in Hampshire with my husband and our two young daughters.

After 10 years’ experience in the management and communications industry, when I had my children I knew it was time to make a change and start working for myself. I love working with people and knew I was good at providing services to help others so I decided to start working with small businesses to grow their presence on social media.

I took the knowledge and experience I had gained through my career and invested in social media marketing training. This included a Facebook advertising course with one of the UK’s leading Facebook ads strategists. I met Mel whilst I was training and Make Social was born. I’ve spent the last 3.5 years building on my skills and will continue to do so – I always want to be able to keep offering more to our clients.

My family are the driving force behind my desire to always be the best that I can. I strive for a work-life balance where I can fulfil my passion and use my expertise to help other women achieve a successful presence on social media whilst bringing up my daughters. I want them to see what’s possible for their futures.

Melissa Hardman.

I’m Melissa. I live in Wiltshire with my husband Max, our children Isabelle and Theo and our crazy spaniel Monty. I love to run and I never turn down a cuppa!

My degree was in media communications and I spent 15 years working in the beauty industry before niching down and focusing on social media marketing. Strategies are my bag: I love getting down to the nitty gritty and working out exactly how social media can work best for different businesses.

I’ve seen first-hand the positive impact that social media can have and quickly transitioned from wanting to grow my own online presence to focusing on helping other women build theirs. We work hard to deliver our knowledge and expertise whilst also making sure we’re around for bath time, ballet performances and Christmas shows. I feel so lucky to have built a career I love that also works around my family and want to help others to reach this point too.
